My Ten Year Angelversary

Today is the 10 year Angelversary of Dominic’s untimely death.

At 5:45am on that dreadful day, Dominic, 30 years young, closed his eyes forever. A promising life, full of dreams, hopes, love, joy, desires and so much excitement, came to an brutal end.

Not only was my heart and soul shattered, but it also deeply affected so many other people.

Dominic was a self proclaimed “ mommas boy”, a loving and caring grandson, nephew, cousin, a best friend to so many, a dependable, trusted and amazing 911 Dispatcher, a very safe pilot and Motorcycle rider and so much more.

He lived his short life to the fullest, without regrets and packed it full of love, joy, adventure and lots of laughter.

From the moment he took his first breath to the moment he took his last one, he lived life to the fullest and without regrets.

His death however, was NOT in vain.

Since his death, caused by an illegal alien criminal, he has been mentioned in the news, at Capitol Hill and even at the White House.

Dominic will continue to make a difference in death as he did in life and will NEVER be forgotten.

Today, like every day, I will honor my best friend, my amazing Dominic by continuing to live life with purpose, integrity and honor. I will make sure to still find reasons to enjoy the little things, laugh and chuckle, never take anything for granted while making sure to tell everyone, everywhere and at any occasion, just how proud I am of my “German chocolate”.

And I will continue to fight against illegal immigration in his name with the hope that one day, this is a issue of the past.
